Rand Ghayad is a seasoned economist and strategist, fluent in multiple languages, with over 15 years of extensive consulting experience. He has led high profile engagements across various regions, including the US, the Gulf, and the Levant. His primary focus has been on government restructuring, community development, and optimizing human capital. Rand specializes in crafting business strategies, conducting thorough research, and designing operational models to drive impactful change. His career is dedicated to fostering socioeconomic development, innovation, and enhancing human capital.

Rand has provided strategic counsel to several government bodies across the MENA region, notably in the UAE, Qatar, Riyadh, and Kuwait. His guidance includes formulating educational and socioeconomic reform strategies and nurturing innovation ecosystems to stimulate economic growth and generate employment opportunities. During his tenure as LinkedIn’s head of economics, Rand collaborated extensively with GCC government stakeholders, aiding labor market reform initiatives.

His contributions encompassed the establishment of foresight units for supply and demand, devising upskilling and reskilling strategies, and developing labor market indices to monitor global employment trends. Moreover, as a key member of the Brattle Group consulting practice, Rand played a pivotal role in pioneering the data analytics and government consulting arm. He actively engaged with clients across MENA and Europe, covering diverse projects encompassing digital transformation, strategy and operations, financial advisory, and government consulting. Since 2014, Rand has served as a distinguished faculty member at Harvard University, focusing on employment, labor economics, and the future of work.

Additionally, he holds esteemed affiliations, including an expert role at PwC’s Ideation Lab in the UAE and board positions at the Institute for Women Empowerment and the Virginia Employment Commission.
